Fund Raising


The purpose of fund raising is to raise money for activities and supplies the music department otherwise could not afford such as sheet music, equipment, uniforms, tours etc. Students are encouraged to take every opportunity to make the most of each fund raiser.

Some fund raising money will go into the general fund (money that will benefit all music students equally). Other funds will be placed into individual student accounts based on how much an individual student has earned. Every student is offered a chance to participate in fund raising projects.

It is illegal for the music boosters to give money back to a student if they quit band, choir or both upon graduation. Money left in an individual account can be transferred to a sibling or friend. Otherwise, the money will be transfered to the general fund.
